Depends. Some guys run extreme with no issues, some run them 5K and pop the heads.

I would suggest at a minimum that you do some sort of EGR Delete if running the Extreme Tunes. Even if the valve is commanded shut, the exhaust backpressure can force the valve open. Also you can still get EGR Cooler flash boil if the system is not blocked off.

I had about an ounce of sand and casting crap in my first filter. It plugged up in about 5K miles. The second one has been on for about 25 now and still is flowing well.

I dont think the newer style pumps can be fitted to older blocks. I'm not 100% sure of this though. I think the feed lines from the pump to the injectors are completely different. There were major design changes for the 05 and up model year 6.0 engines. Read up on the 6.0 Bible, it shows most of the changes made.

the fcdp kit is very nice for a complete kit. Definitely the way to go if you want a 100% EGR removal. I personally just got a sneaky pipe from Elite since I'm still under warranty, and like to keep it that way for now. It basically does the same thing, but it does physically delete the EGR Cooler or Valve, it just blocks the exhaust flow into the cooler, and removes the restrictive exhaust "Scoop" from 05+ passenger side up pipes.

no fuel guage, but I wonder if you can monitor this with data logging from the SCT? You could set up data logging for base fuel pressure, do a run and see what happens. I don't think fuel would be too much of issue. It still blows a lot of black all the way up into 4th gear near the end of a quarter run. Now maybe if you stayed into it past that, but by that time, you'd be way over 1500 degrees, and run the risk of burning a valve or piston. Extreme tune is basically for 1/4 mile run, not for long, high speed extended run.

The block off plate would work put if for some reason the egr cooler popped i would think it would still put coolant on top of cylinders(hydrolock)
