4x4? If so are your hubs locked? Does the truck miss while cruising down the road? Fresh oil? New fuel filters? All these can lead to bad mpg. Those tires aren't helping either.

hubs are unlocked, all fuel and oil filters just changed, i ran a tank of the diesel kleen stuff, couldnt tell any difference, just bought some standyne. the motor runs smoothly however it seems ultra-loud from the engine compartment, i assumed it was because of the k&n intake and filter? is there supposed to be a hood liner? also it turns over a lot before it cranks which is starting to worry me, the batteries are the originals, im gonna put 2 optimas in and see if faster turning will build pressure quicker. maybe its just a great looking lemon...

I saw 16 going down to north carolina doing 70 on the highways, i thought it was a little low but idk, the truck runs great. I dont get below 11 around town whereas my f150 gets like 9 around town and 14 on long trips.

I think you might just get ur truck checked out and if everything checks out maybe try a tuner.

just got my 07 back a couple of weeks ago, had moderate fuel in oil (4%) after uoa, had o-rings leaking on injectors. thats the only issue with this one @ 80,000 mi., the absolute worst i ever got mpg wise is 13.5 brand new, now i get consistently 18-19.9, i would have dealer check out ficm, icp & non-stock size tires kill mpg
