Ford vs Ford. Why is Old man killing me???

You can see what I have done to my truck. My old man has an 05 EC SB FX4 with muffler cut and Banks intake. He has owned the truck since 6500 miles. He has used royal purple since then on EVERYTHING. He even has BFG 325/70/17 and he does use additives, as well do I. He recalced the speedo and adds that to the odometer and he ALWAYS gets between 17.25 and 17.50 city/hwy everytime!!!!

Why is his big FX4 getting such killer mileage w/o a computer???

I only get around 16.25 city and around 19ish hwy.

3rd that one. my buddy has an Edge Attitude platinum with juice or whatever that junk is. he consistantly gets 12mpg while towing 5-6k lbs. i usually get 15-15.5mpg towing the same load.

Even before the Edge I was getting High 15s to 16 and trying to drive like he does. I need to dump this Edge....

Once I have Eric make some tunes for the X3, will I have to have him write a new one every time I do a major mod, turbo, injectors, IC etc??? Because I want to have 3 tunes, so I would hate to pay him over and over again on every tune because I do major mods.

yes you will want your tunes reburnt. not sure about how eric does it but some places are $25 for a reburn. some reburn for free. . . talk to eric and he will fill you in. . .
