Hey 6.0 guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am trying to get feed back for the 6.0. I love my 7.3, I think its the best engine out there. Its my opinion and I'm entitled to it, so don't get your pantiees in a wad. But I am very impressed with the 6.0, since Ford seems to have gotten al the bugs worked out,(or most of them). I am thinking of getting a last production year (2005) excursion for my wife and kids. Is there anything I should know? I figured I'd aske you guys since y'all have first hand experience. What are the popular upgrades for thes? What makes the most power? What are some of you doing to achieve that jet engine sound from the variable turbo? I want to but one by the summer, but if it doesn't sound worth it, I'll try to locate a low mileage 2002 with the, are you ready, 7.3 ultimate engine. Just kidding I couldn't help it.
:burnout =7.3 =6.0
Oops there I go again

Have a 2006 F350 with the 6.0. Love it, the only major problem I've had is keeping my foot out of it. Been a couple minor glitches, but heck, I've had worse with other vehicles. Based on what I've read on the forum, there appear to be some really questionable dealers out there, but I have nothing but high praise for mine. The diesel tech are great, and the different service writers I've worked with are tops. (Dobbs Ford - Wolfchase, Memphis, TN).

6.0l

I ordered my 6.0L in March of 2003. I was told prior to ordering that any 6.0 built after March 1, 2003 should be solid as Ford/Navistar had the bugs worked out of them. Mine is still stock other than a K&N FIPK and the 6.0L has been an awesome motor.
It seems to me that a majority of the guys that have had problems with their 6.0Ls have chipped or programmed them? I see more negative posts about the 6.0L than positive. I'd like to see more folks braggin' on their 6.0L trucks.
Mine has been trouble free and I wouldn't think twice about ordering another one...in fact, I already did.

i bought my 04 f350 crew cab long box used with 43000 miles on it about a month and a half ago. i had it back to the dealer four times now. they replaced four injectors, egr valve, and turbo bracket/mount. i've been very patient with them and they have treated me great giving me loner cars and not charging me a penny. and now the truck kicks beepbeepbeep!:burnout in fact i did a holeshot today with it that had to be at least 75ft. long. i am loving this truck and engine right now. its all stock. and i'm getting about 17 mpg. mixed driving. 75mph. and some city driving.

My '05 is FREAKIN AWESOME. Got about 22K on her and she just is an AMAZING ride. She's fun to drive, runs simply awesome, and I wouldn't trade her for the world. It's an FX4 and the only problem I had was about the first month one of my auto-locking hubs didn't auto-unlock. Took the dealer a couple hours and it's been great ever since and I use 4x4 all the time.
I DO run her on the Predator but 90% of the time she stays in the 65 tune and the other 10% I bounce between stock and 100.
Anyway - would I recommend it - I personally have no reason NOT to and anyone who tells you different hasn't driven my rig.
