driveline slop

i recently bought a 2005 e 350 6.0/torqshift and have noticed what i feel to be an abnormal amount of slop in the drivetrain.has been there since i drove it off the lot.kinda like a mini neutral slam when taking off or accelerating after coasting etc...like a loose converter in a performance car.just wondering if this is normal (my 1st diesel) or if anyone else has this condition.any help would be appreciated.thanks

there is actually a TSB on this and it is kinda a "flaw" with the torqueshift tranny.....it is perfectly normal and there is not a fix for it and to even be able to feel it you have to drive it just right....some driving stlyes do it all the time..other people never feel it.........Marc
