Soon to be owner of a 07 6.0 and have some questions

I am currently looking for a 06 or 07 6.0 and have some questions about some mods. First two mods will be a exhaust and programmer. I am not sure which exhaust, 4in or 5in turbo back? I live in Ohio, is there emission laws that restrict not having cats and mufflers? I have already decided on the Edge Juice Platinum with Attitude programmer. Is anyone running this programmer or know much about it? Also, I do not plan on pulling with this truck or getting into anything crazy, I will only be pulling my jet boat and mower trailer. This will be my daily driver and my new toy. I want to blow some smoke and make it last for as long as possible. Are head studs or any other mods necessary with what I plan on doing?

Exhaust - 4in turbo back will be fine. (not sure about your local laws regarding cat / muff)

Tuner - I would suggest that you look at an SCT with some custom tunes (esp. if you want your new truck to "last as long as possible")

Other than gauges (boost, tranny temp and EGT) you won't NEED any other mods. Head studs and EGR delete are recommended but not needed. (I've got 30,000+ miles running a race tune with zero problems)

I'm in Dayton, OH. I saw a tuck on here with a 5in turbo back with 6in tip, I think i looks nice, does the size effect performance or back pressure? Will a 5in back cause any problems? For some reason I am stuck on getting the Edge, are they known to cause problems?
