6.0 OEM Injector Questions
I have two late build injectors that are supposed to both be Ford part # 4C3Z-9E527-BRM.
One of them has gray plastic on it and is stamped International part # DA1878284C91, while the other has black plastic on it and is stamped International part # DA1846692C2. Also, the one with gray plastic on it has Reman04 stamped on it, while the one with black plastic does not. My question is, are these both in fact Ford part # 4C3Z-9E527-BRM, and correct for use in a late build 6.0 (in this case a 2006 6.0)? I'm guessing maybe the black one is a factory original injector, and the gray one is a reman'ed unit, although both boxes say REMANUFACTURED. Could someone please cross-reference the International part #'s to see if these are both the same injector? Thank you Last edited by GOT_DZL; 07-17-2009 at 09:01 AM. |

Solved!
DA1846692C2 is the original (new part - not reman'ed) Ford P/N 4C3Z-9E527-AA injector which is no longer available from Ford. DA1878284C91 is the current Ford P/N 4C3Z-9E527-BRM injector which is remanufactured. You can tell the difference by looking at the color of plastic on the solenoid. Black = original / new injector, and gray = remanufactured injector. Hope this helps!
