lose pushrod in a 390

hey, i know this is not a diesel question but there is just so much more automotive knowledge on this forum. had a worn cam lobe. got a new cam and lifters form power by ford that should be a direct repacement, just a bump up from stock. put new lifters and cam in. ran awsome for 20 min and noticed pin hole leak in bottom hose. went to store and replaced. start runs like crap and making chatter. open valve covers most push rods loose. i know they where tight cause i tuned the engine over 8-10 revolutions with covers off to make sure it didn't bend another rod and checked before putting on covers and all were tight. i've been told everything form wrong size push rods too warped lifter shaft. they are non-adjustable. can anyone help.

thanks
