Who has the most miles on their 6.0. What is the break in period

I was curious what the life span is on this motor. My 06 FX4 Crew has approx 25k miles on it. I've heard different things about when its considered broke in. Will there be a increase in MPG/power or am I already at peak? Thanks for any info.

Break in period can be anywhere from 10,000 - 30,000 miles. Kinda varies on how you drive it, where the engine settles in at, things like that. As far as most miles - I'm sure there are others with higher then me with a 6.0 but I have a early 2003 6.0 with 188,600 miles as a daily driver.

I got 74xxx on mine and she's running great (have a minor problem with an O-ring in the HPOS but its under warranty)

My 05 has 152000. Just completed the egr delete. If you take care of it, it will take care of you...

My '05 has been driven a ways too at 133k and it's had it's issues prior to my ownership but it's sorted out now. Fast, powerful and 15-17mpg even with 4.10 gearing. bondsman speaks the truth. The 6-0 has some flaws but once they are sorted out it seems solid.

My 04 has 209,000 miles on it and still going strong. Only major thing done was injectors at 175,000.

Im pretty sure ive got the highest milage late build 6.0 on here. or i did at one time. its now almost 260K on my 05.

wonder if anyone on here has gotten to 500 000? mine is just past 60000 and has been studded and deleted along with a few other things....

What kinda issues have you had with yours and how much did they cost you? Mine just passed 71k, so I'm getting closer to no warranty. I'm curious what's coming ahead in the next few years.
