Ok, Somebody Educate Me A Little. I've Been Told That Is Hard On The Turbo. Is That Right Or Wrong? I Know When I Worked At The Dodge Dealer We Had Several Customers With Those Inline Motors That Would Do This Under Load And Was Told By A Couple Of The "old" Guys That It Was Bad And Would Trash The Turbo.

Turbo Surge is hard on the motor...(You'll hear it while your underload.) The BOV "WHOOSH" is heard when you let off of the throttle while the turbo is spooled and making about 15+ psi...this is basically harmless...it's just excess pressurized air. Surge is the force of the pressurized air trying to get OUT of the turbo through the intake side WHILE your still under load.
