IPR Valve O-Ring Damaged (pics)

So I took out the IPR Valve during my HPOP adventures yesterday, and I found this on the O-ring. I don't think this was caused by me taking it out, based on the way the gouge looks. My question is, would this cause low oil pressure over time. It looks like it was a result of improper threading, so probably happened when the thing was installed. I have been getting 270 PSI at 180 or so RPM for ICP, would this be a/the cause?

Hard to say. I've seen damage like that from removing the IPR and I've damage like that from just being a bad oring or damaged during install. Was the blown out area towards the IPR or HPOP?

How would I go about testing the IPR. Is there a cheap way to make an adapter to plug into the ICP Sensor port? I don't have the part, and I don't want to pay a lot. I do have an air compressor though.
