Yep..sounds like we need to have a "bona fide" forum user icon. Something that is seen next to your name that represents that you are a reputable guy. Some sort of avatar or icon. We would need a process that allows the forum owners to check out the facts then give you the icon.

I agree a troll list would be good. I also suggest only paying with a creditcard, even if it is through Paypal you can backcharge the scum through your card Co. or Bank. I know it works, I have done it.

shi$$y deal man. i am in the exact same situation right now with a guy. trying to sell me parts on an lx car forum i go on anly to try sell it to someone else at the same time on the same forum  i have gone through paypal as well but we all know how they are. anyway, sucks non the less, eh?

I suggest a trader rating like Ebay has. SVT Performance does this when you buy from another member, you get a point on a good transaction. You also get them from some of their supporting site vendors. I don't have but a few but I remember them from a truck cover I purchased. You also leave a small feedback line after the purchase.
