fuel and oil pressure guage

for fuel guage is it better to get a fuel filter cap with an 1/8npt port on it already there and get my pressure readings from there?

same with oil pressure get the oil filter cap with 1/8npt port on it. oil pressure would be for hpop

I think you get a better fuel psi reading from the test port in the side of the fuel bowl.
This is where I have mine and it works well.
I don't know about the oil psi.

I have not done this, but on my old IDI I placed the oil gauge in the oil feed to the turbo.

Agreed about the fuel pressure reading. You can get an adapter hose from ITP that screws directly into the test port and the fuel pressure sending unit screws into the hose. The HPOP reading you can take from the OBD-II plug as it's monitored by the ECM, I believe. Taking an oil pressure reading from the oil cap would only give you LPOP.
