Exhaust Mod

I got tired of trying to save money for a big exhaust system so I cut off the muffler/tailpipe and ram out the cat(honey combs) put the cat back. The pipe now ends just before the back of the cab.

Questions
Is this bad?
Should a make/install a turndown?
Why does most everybody run the pipe out the back or behind rear right wheel? (in the old days the cool thing was in front of the rear tires)

well, you just destroyed a cat... those are alot of money, but you could have had your pipe run at a exhaust shop and saved the cat for smogs in the future for very little money, I had mine ran all the way out the back with the cat delete pipe for $175 at a local shop in vegas.
