Diesel price spike

I checked my receipts, Diesel went from $4.05 on Jan 24 to $4.29 today, Jan 30 (at the same station). What the heck???

I know PA implemented the new fuel taxes that went into effect Jan 1st. ($0.09 regular / $0.13 Diesel), so we just saw that spike a few weeks ago, but now another one? It's like 40 cents in a little over a month.

Has anyone else seen a big jump in the last week? Maybe diesel refining is getting skipped for heating oil and kerosene since the winter's been so cold?

I hated seeing the rate increase in the news because i have been driving down to PA for fuel, about 1/2 hour away with a junkyard in between, might not be worth the drive now.

Propane also went up. Last year it was about $2.00 a gallon, now, it's $4.00 a gallon. I have a feeling that things are gonna get real bad real fast.
