Some of the naysayers get me. They say, "It will take 5 years to get that oil online." Yeah....well, I guess you should have thought about that 5 years ago -OR- better get started....'cause it ain't gonna get no better!!!

For all the environmentalist, Technology is such that it can be drilled for and extracted without screwing up the natural environment. "The Pipeline will kill off the Caribou!" Didn't happen. Katrina came through and screwed up the platforms in the Gulf. No oil got spilled. It's time rethink the 'we need to protect the environment' arguement, which I'm all for BTW, but at what cost?

they dont know what they are talking about it does not take 5 years from the day you start drilling to go to production maybe a few months. And when katrina and rita hit trust me oil was spilt you just did not here about it.We lost a bunch of platforms out here. But not enough to cause the spike in fuel prices.

Drilling

I'm not in the oil industry so I can't say how long it takes for oil to get to market, but I do know that if you do nothing, nothing gets done. Trust me, there are many elected officials that don't give adamn about their rank-and-file constituants' needs. We have many here in NJ. Actions speak louder than words, and the resistance to new energy generation has been deafening.
