Dunno about the locking cap, would think they need probably cause, but then again they can pull you on the road and dip the tank without PC. So, who knows?

I just know that I ain't goin to risk finding out, i'll pay the street diesel prices.

yeah the HUGE fines is what i ment by the illegal part and in IL my buddy got busted it cost him 33,000 not to mention they impounded his truck for two months then he paid for the storage and towing costs on top of that so even if it doesnt screw the motor over i would not risk it at all i would rather spent that 30 grand on some more upgrades to my truck or maybe even another truck but i would for sure not want to give it to the gov

I should have been more specific, but most of it has been addressed already ...

A) Warranty issues on a $50,000 truck !

B) Fines

C) New motors were designed for ULSD

D) All of the above

well , that sums it up / i will tell him to lay off the red fuel dyed / even thoe some of you guys say it wont hurt his truck dont thinks its worth it either/ just pay the high prices and forget the rest , by the way does anybody know why the diesel at the pumps is more then the price of regular gas. i dont get it is'nt it less refined and therefore should be less money per gallon. i heard that most of all the other countrys the prices on diesel are usually lower then gasoline?? i dont get it are they just shafting us or what ??

It depends on where you get it. Some load racks have low sulfur that is dyed and some load racks only have ultra low. if you are getting a load of off road at a rack that only has ultra low then guess what, your getting ultra low that is dyed.
