the way I look at it, we as owners of heady-duty diesel pickups have a big advantage over people who own gas pickups. As much as the value of our trucks has been decreasing somewhat, it isn't even close to the drop that half-tons and other gas pickups have had. The fact of the matter is that we own trucks that are purpose-built...they are made to last a long time and haul heavy loads in a manner that a half-ton can't even come close to, so there will always be a market for these trucks.

that being said, when they begin making 40+ mpg full-size pickups, then i'll start to be worried about my resale value

haha... sorry, im a realist. AND It may sound crazy, but its a pretty good idea to have to high prices and government not doing anthing about it... thats the way I want it, i dont want the government involved in helping it go down and I dont want the government to research alternative fuels, I want the PEOPLE to do that if the PEOPLE invent, research, construct, design, and build their own designs then the PEOPLE will own it, if the government does it the government will own it. we have all already decided the government/politicians cant REALLY be trusted. and if the government owns it, what do you think they will do with it? well... what did they do with crude? SO, instead of hiding behind your couch and hoping OIL prices will go back down, INVENT something of your own. come up with the new thing, make your million with a new design. turn away from internal combustion or make internal combustion work better. lol everyone is just too d*** lazy (including me) we all expect "the government" to do something about it.

Ha ha, so am I. It just seems like whatever the speculation is comes true. Lest make the speculation make prices go down.

Think about it, if everyone expects prices to go up, they can make them go up pretty easy.

It just really sucks that the oil companies have us by the balls. We have to have oil, no question about it. So they can pretty much charge whatever they want.

Ah, i could rant all night long but i need to get to bed, maybe ill b!tch about it more tomorrow.
