Talking Fuel for thought.

With fuel prices at record highs i thought i would give some real world examples for saving some green.

1. I think we all know the speed at which our trucks get the best mileage.
Here is the dollar and cents of it. Mileage and speed numbers are just for reference being that all trucks have there own "sweet spots".
Speed--------------Mileage-------Added cost@4.00pg for 35gals
55-------------------19-------------------$7.36

60-------------------20-------------------$0.00

65-------------------19-------------------$7.36

70-------------------18-------------------$14.74

75-------------------17-------------------$22.09

80-------------------16-------------------$29.46

I know driving slow is a pain but just think of all the extra toys you could buy for the truck and better yet get a premium member ship here.

One last thought for every $.10 difference in the price fuel is an extra $1.00 for every 10 gallons.

If anyone has any other ideas please post them.

I don't know how to drive under 75. I guess I will just keep bending over at the pump until my Vegistroke is installed then I won't care anymore.

When traveling (highway) I keep the tach under 2k. Plus my speedometer is off so not sure about actual speed.
