I fueled up Friday night on my way home from South Texas and the truck will be parked in the yard for the next few weeks. The price was $3.99.9 and that is just to much.

im in on it, i just dont think its gonna do anything. I hate to be pecimistic, but i think the prices are gonna stay as long as the Oil futures/Gov't lets them.

I've seen a lot of e-mails going around that propose banning Exxon/Mobil for 6 months to a year. If everyone could just avoid them it could cause the market to turn in our favor. I don't think the one day deal will do much.

I absolutely agree. My law firm has handled some cases involving fuel distribution and one day or even a week is not going to mean anything for a variety of reasons. A much better solution is to collectively select a specific brand (such as Exxon or Mobil or Pilot or whoever) and everyone absolutely avoid them for a predefined and extended period of time. An extended economic impact on one vendor is much more effective that a silly protest day.

I filled up in Nashville today at 3.82 by the way at a small dealer I have never used before. I normally fuel at Pilot but I can avoid it if I have to.

if enough of them stop for one day...the economy will take a beating. Too many manufacturers have just in time investories. If the truckers pull it off it will be a smart move,
