What is the best way to increase fuel mileage for diesel?

I am looking to increase my fuel mileage. I have a 2001 7.3 turbo Lariat that is bone stock. Air induction? Chip? If so, which AI or chip is best? Thanks!

a good afe air intake , open the exhaust up some even if its the factory exhaust , a chip with a tow mode or economy mode best fuel mileage ,a brand of chip isnt that big a deal , superchip , edge , sct, if all your looking for is fuel mileage , just about any off the shelf programmer will get you there

I got 3 mpg more after deleting the restrictive muffler, and the straight pipe sounds great.
