i dont have any toys, no boat, no atv's, no nothing. i live a pretty boring life really! all i do is work so i can afford to fill up ( partially) to go back to work. i hate it. the "big oil" is making it hard to be able to go anywhere. m afraid that if i get this new job in California, i wont be able to take it cause i wont be able to buy the fuel needed to move my family. thanks Big oil!!

This is what the treehugging liberials have wanted for years, hi priced energy! You'd think there would be some talk of domistic drilling and refining, but nooo.... have to import, import, import. When we run out of money to borrow, and we can't afford fuel....our econamy stops...= ut oh depression.

Side note: Exxon 10% profit margin, retail price $4 = .40, who's getting the other $3.60?????

Good question, but not all of that $4 is profit. A lot of that is production cost, crude cost, transport cost.

I know that some ridiculous portion is tax. Don't quote me but I think it's to the tune of 47 cents (as of 7/2007). That's almost 13%.
