Enough is enough!

Well guys i just paid 4.29 for diesel today. At what point do way enough is enough? everyone is saying that $5.00 a gal will be here by summer time. I cant afford to take the rig out for long trips because of fuel costs so she stays sitting in my driveway most of the time. Everyone knows how expensive these things are. so paying for the monthly payment, insurance and fuel a month is getting pretty ridiculous.

I have had 2 friends trade in their lifted rigs for Prius i know i know its a freaken prius but when you drive over 100miles a day the fuel cost is huge.. they are now only filling up twice a month with about 120 bucks for the whole month compared to around 6-800 in fuel...

So my question is this... how high does the fuel need to get before you either stop driving it or sell your truck for something economical?

I had promised myself i would never sell my truck but with 5 bucks a gallon coming around im very tempted too... i wouldnt buy a prius but how about the hybrid 4 door honda accord or the ford Escape hybrid?

im open to suggestions.. i want to know what you guys think

-Raul
