Diesel in Manitowoc WI $2.84 per gallon. I wish it were cheaper. Like I always say: You can wish in one hand and sh$t in the other and see which one gets fuller faster...

So to all you guys that think that the oil companys are just making a fair profit. How do you justify that oinker CEO of Exxon Retiring at only $141,000.00 a day.

With the BILLIONS of dollars that oil companies profited last year, you would think they could spare at least half of it and start building more and more refining platforms and anything to relieve the price. I've heard countless times that the worlds oil supply is good for at least 100 more years at it's current rate, and that the US has a 50 year supply in it's reserves. Those numbers might be high, but I went by what the "experts" said. By the way I saw diesel for 2.89, and 2.95 today.......unleaded still about 10 cents lower....wtf! Diesel is a GD byproduct!!!!!!!!!!

Just shot to 2.95 here, seems like they jack it up a little more every couple of days.

thank your democratic party tree huggers for that one smoke....there is a moritorium saying there can be no new offshore drilling platforms, as well as making it impossible to build any new refineries on american soil. it has been almost 30 years since the last new refinery was built on american soil, and attemp after attempt by the republicans and some moderate democrats has failed to open it up for more refineries and offshore rigs in the gulf. they are now trying to get it so some small population per square mile states can possibly build refineries (kansas, ohio, montana, nebraska, wyoming, ETC) but it looks as this attemt will fail also. they figure there is an absurd amount of oil in the gulf alone that they now cannot tap into. the oil companies would love to have more refineries....the government wont let them do it......Marc

they have to run on predictions to not be behind.....the stations are told what the expected cost to them per gallon would be each day if the fuel showed up....then they add their small mark up and adjust the price accordingly. if they didnt do this they would always be behind......if this tank cost them $1.00 per gallon....and the next tank ends up being $1.50 a gallon....and they just jump the prices .50 cents in one day there would be more complaints....not to mention the station that didnt get new fuel would get over run.....no business runs strictly on what the stuff they have costs them if its a product they have to sit on....thats not good business sence.........Marc
