Never thought $4.45 would be relatively cheap, but that seems to be the case north of the old Mason Dixon line

Filled up yesterday here in Pensacola Florida at a whopping $4.25 a gallon and I thought that was high but i guess not compared to some of these prices.

$4.70 yesterday at a 7/11 in West Sacramento. They were the cheapest around as most others were at $4.85-95Predict $5 by the end of the month out here on the West Coast.

wow. So does anyone know about Mexico's demand for diesel/gasoline? I mean they've got a lot of cars down there. I know that a lot of countries outside the us actually have a lot more diesel powered cars than they do gas/petrol. Is Mexico the same?

Don't think so. But they do have a STATE run oil industry. The pump enough crud to sell some of it to us, so I don't think they feel the need to screw their own people.

Your forgetting that in Mexico all the oil is owned by the goverment, there are no big private oil companies to stick it to the consumer like in our country.

Guys i'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but do the research as to how much the oil companies make per gallon of gas sold compared to how much the government makes in TAXES that are put on each gallon sold. Yes the oil companies are making record profits, but think of how much money the govenment is making. That should be the real focus. Not to mention that it costs NOTHING to tax gas, but the oil companies have to find the oil, drill for the oil, refine the oil, and finally distribute the oil. So they have lots of expenses involved compared to uncle sam just sitting back and taking it all in.
