someone please tell me how diesel can be more expensive than gas. diesel is a by product of gas. i hear people saying that it is because of all the eighteen wheelers, i don't buy that either. there are twice as many gassers out there than us diesel guys, read a poll on it the other day...confusing huh????????

you hit the nail on the head, stations sell alot more gas than diesel, so they have to replunish it more often, which means they purchase the new fuel at the market price, and then sell it to the public. its a big circle and the diesel circle is slower than the auto gas circle.

be happy with what you are paying. Here in sw iowa diesel is 3.09 was 3.29 about 3 weeks ago. I heard there is a big demand for diesel because of harvesting season is here and also that there was a shortage because everyone trying to get switched over to the new ulsd witch by the way I do not like. but going to continue using soy diesel.

Right on! Bring on the corn and soy fuels! Give the farmers a chance to make some dough for a change, I'm sure the oil guys pockets are about full up by now!

Here in stillwater Diesel is runnin 40 cents more expensive than gas at 2.85. I remember the days when diesel was almost always 30 cents cheaper than gas. Funny how a byproduct becomes more valuable than the main product.
