$5/gal travel plans

Anybody changing their travel plans for the upcoming summer because of the price of fuel? Close to $200 to fill my tank if it reaches $5 is gonna change my plans.

My wife and I are thinking of going to Disney Towing a TT
I am contemplating weather to fly or not
I figure at 5 per gal it is going to cost me around 1400.00 round trip for fuel
Flying right now is 1600.00 for the family but I would not have the trailer to stay in

Probably means we'll stay closer to home, but not necessarily call it quits though. Fuel is $3.86 here right now. Just filled up yesterday.

Just means I have to ride the bike to work, and not drive the truck. Still gonna take whatever trips we plan. Probably a few, but we'll see. Just means there will be fewer haulers at the camping spots. Works for me.

We're leaving in 2 weeks for a trip to the Keys for some diving, then going up th coast to New England and Prince Edward Island in Canada, towing a 37' toyhauler. As much as I hate to pay the price, we've planned this for awhile, and I'll just have to suck it up at 9-10 mpg.

Let's hope it doesn't hit $5.00 because I just bought a bigger boat and it gets 2 mpg.

I hear that, my boat burns about 8 gallons a hour. That and 8 beers an hour and it is going to be a expensive summer
