Ford urea tank
How much does it cost to fill the urea tank on the new ford diesels? Where do you purchase the stuff? Is it special urea or can I fill it myself?
![]() I haven't seen it at fill stations but I looked very hard. |

I talked to a Guy who has a New 6.7 and told me that you fill it every 7500 miles, the Computer in the Truck will let you know, you can buy this DEF stuff just about anywhere now, check out the Dealer, Truck Stops, Ebay Ect.
From what I understand it does not cost that much either, Look for Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Yes you can do this yourself, So easy a Caveman can do it LOL! Last edited by nolafishr; 01-25-2011 at 02:43 AM. |

Motorcraft DEF fluid can be purchased at any Ford Dealership parts counter. Purchased 2.5 gallons worth yesterday and it was $20.50 with taxes. It can be found cheaper.

I actually saw a truck stop the other day that said they had it at the truck pumps. I didn't go and look but thought that was awesome. First one I'd seen.
