How Much Do You Spend On Fuel

Just like the title says, how much do you spend on fuel a month? My wife is going to ECU next year and I'm trying to do a budget. Just wanted to get an idea how much everyone spends on fuel every month.

Last night I filled up with 24 gallons @ $2.65 a gallon, so fill up was about $63. I was thinking that I usually fill up 2 or 3 times a month. Dang that chit adds up $189 give or take.

This gets me to thinking how much does she spend on gas? Or should I say how much do I spend. Seems like evertime I get in her Escape Hybrid its always empty, I guess she thinks every last drop counts when you have a 12ish gallon tank and you get 32 mpg in a 4x4 brick on wheels.

That sucks!

I only fill up every 14-18 days so I only use 2 tanks a month, about 140-150 bucks a month.

I don't live very far from work though.

In general, I've found that when budgeting for fuel, take what you think you'll use and add 5-10%

Good luck!

Once or twice a week at $50 for a fill up. So $200 or so a month
