With my current truck I figure that I get about twice the fuel mileage with my diesel than I would with a gas truck with comparable performance so I won't sell it and buy a gas rig unless the diesel prices are twice the gas prices.
The question gets more complicated when I start to think about replacing it due to age and mileage. It's scheduled for replacement in 2011. If the mileage on stock diesels still sucks then I might need to think about a gas motor but I'm hoping that they'll have switched to an urea system by then so the mileage will be back up where it belongs. |
