2000 buick century prob

first of all i couldnt find a non ford thread for this.

this morn i towed the buick to the mechanic shop for a coolant flush and find out why it overheats.

about a half hour ago got the call that the intake gasket is leakin and is allowing the oil and anifreeze to mix(sounds familiar:doh)

so waitin on an answer from dad to see whether to fix it now or wait.

anyone have/had this prob? it has about 111k on it.

Such a common thing for many gm v6 eninges. Usually the 3.3 and 3.8's have intake gaskets, I have dont them on many gm vehicles, even the 3.1 on the corsicas....

well i just picked it up. gonna wait a month if we are gonna have them do the full repair.

just like you said, that engine had that prob. the new gasket will fix that. on the gasket, you have the ports. the two out side ones are the coolant and the middle ones are the air ports.

here is a new set from felpro to give yall an idea.

heres the current stats
