8 lug 15's will they work ??

i own a 1987 F250 4X4...it is strickly my beater truck...i have found a set of 15 inch 8 lug wheels...they are on 6.5 bolt pattern...after looking up specs on my truck they should fit.....and 15 inch tires are way cheaper than 16....has anybody ever run 15's on thier 3/4 truck.....and if so how did they work ??

I had 15" on my 95' but the wheel center is almost even with the inside edge of the wheel to clear the brakes

so you think that these would fit.....they have a 2.5 inch backspacing...i just dont want to try and save a penny and have it be a bigger headache than just doing it right ??
