Need A Ford Tech
I have an 07 Escape Hybrid 4X4 about 40,000 on it. Never had a problem with it untill now. When I trun right at slow speeds I hear a squil, almost like the squil tab on breaks. I can hear it coasting or speeding up. It sounds like its comeing for the front pass side. I took of the tire breaks look good, turned the wheel and spun the tire and nothing.
![]() Does anyone have an idea. |

Hybrid Escape
Just a very wild guess here; but could it have something to do with your "regenerative braking" system? Don't hybrids have something that uses the momentum of the vehicle to generate a few watts in lieu of standard braking? I don't know, but that's my two cents! ![]() P.S. I have always been leery of those hybrid cars/trucks. I am glad that other people buy them, but I do not see myself in one anytime soon.

can't say i have seen anything, but don't take the brakes apart on own, i've been told that bad things could happen.

Thanks for the help. I was thinking I could have something to do with the battery chargeing system.
I havn't taken the breaks apart, just took the tire off and looked. I looked in a Escape Hybrid forum but no help. |
