1991 460 efi

whats the fuel pressure on this engine supposed to be?
while idling and giving it fuel, right now my truck is idling at 30 lbs and stays at 30 while giving it gas.
the truck cuts out at 4500 rpms and wont go any further, and when it does it ,it smokes pretty good.

Efi should be 35-40psi at idle and should raise as load increases.

You can get a 460 up to 4500 rpms? I can barely get mine up to 4000 and at that it seems scarey.

i use to be able to take it to 5000 or a little more, and now it does this all of a sudden,i think its either the fuel pressure regulator or a weak fuel pump.
or weak valve springs the truck has 184000 miles
