Bought another 79

I've been looking for a 79 crew for a long time. I finally found this one on ebay. Went to Mi yesterday and picked it up. Plans are to do a restoration on it. I guess you could say it is in my blood.

Nice I think this one needs a built 6.0.
What motors are you running in the other trucks? I have a M400 that I pulled out of my 79 that I scraped. I love that motor. It is built but could never use its full potential because it needed a stall converter.

The 250 is a built 70 429 and the Bronco is just a warmed over 400. I thought about a 6.0 in the Bronco but it would be a pretty spendy conversion. Economically a Cummins would be a much cheaper and easier swap.

Actually they never made a crewcab long bed 4x4. Only the 2wd's got the choice of short or long beds. I'll keep it with the shortbed.

Yes it is and they are quite hard to find around IL. Around the PNW they are a dime a dozen. This truck is very solid for it's age. Compared to most others they have severe rust issues around the drip rail/windshield.

All your trucks are awsome. A friend of ours had a 77' f150 4x4 and a 78' bronco like yours black and silver. I have a 78' step side but its got a short bed on it now. I love the 77'-79' models.
