need help with motor swap..
hey guys, i came all the way from the duramax forum to ask the ford guys a question. ok, im about to buy a 2.3l turbo 4 banger motor that came out of a 79' mustang pace car and i want to put this motor in my 85' ranger which has a 2.3 non turbo. is this gunna be a motor to motor swap, or is there gunna be some customizing involved? thanks

Should be a fairly easy swap. May have to relocate motormounts other than that should be simple

do you really think ill have to relocate motor mounts? shouldnt it bolt right up being that there both carburerated 2.3's. but what do i know, im a chevy guy. i just wanna do the swap cuz the ranger is my daily driver and has hardly any power. it even boggs down on a windy day!!

The only reason I was thinking relocating or changing motormounts is the differences in the frames between the two vehicles
