Me and my friend found this block.

We toook it to our shop class today, and we know its a ford cause we saw FoMoCo Stamped on the side.

If we post up pics and casting numbers, can anyone ident. the block (what year, what its used in, etc.)

quick Google search reveals it as a Ford 289ci.
even more info from another forum

C5AE-6015-F breaks down like this:

C=decade of the 1960s
5=year of the decade - 1965
A=car/truck model line - Full-sized Ford car
E=engineering department - E is for engines
6015=basic part group number - 6000s are engines
F=design change-F would be the sixth version of the part

I don't recall 300 engines going into cars, so I would hazard a guess to say that what you have there is a 240 out of a big Ford car.
