Me and my friend found this block.
We toook it to our shop class today, and we know its a ford cause we saw FoMoCo Stamped on the side.
If we post up pics and casting numbers, can anyone ident. the block (what year, what its used in, etc.) |

quick Google search reveals it as a Ford 289ci.
even more info from another forum C5AE-6015-F breaks down like this: C=decade of the 1960s 5=year of the decade - 1965 A=car/truck model line - Full-sized Ford car E=engineering department - E is for engines 6015=basic part group number - 6000s are engines F=design change-F would be the sixth version of the part I don't recall 300 engines going into cars, so I would hazard a guess to say that what you have there is a 240 out of a big Ford car. I hope this helps. |
