Well, it's no PSD but...

It is my new daily driver. We picked up a 1999 F-150 2WD, Ext. cab 5.4L earlier this week.

My PSD needs a lot of work and I am not sure if I want to put money into it or focus on getting what I really want which is a 00 - 03' 4X4 CC Dually. Just couldn't beat the deal we got with the F-150 and it gives us a little breathing room while I decide what to do diesel wise. But hey, at least I was able to keep it Ford.

Craig,

I have had 4 that of that body style .. I loved them ALL .... The 5.4 is a good motor, unless you are looking for economy. My wife's 06 gets 16mpg down hill with a tail wind.... The only way to increase it would be dropping it from a C130 Cargo plane ...

I must be lucky, avg about 18 on the hwy right now. But I also drive around 60mph (1800rpm's) when out on the road. Happy with the truck so far.

I thought about that. As usual it always comes down to $$$. Like I said now that I have another reliable ride I can decide what to do. Love trucks like yours but (this will sound crazy) but have this "loyalty feeling" towards mine. It has been a great truck, and would be a lot of fun to fix up over time.

Get done with this house and move and start making some plans for the future.

yeah I know what you mean..

Besides you don't have to talk this fancy stuff "loyalty feeling"..... All you have to do is say I don't want your oil leaks when I have my fuel leaks....... j/k

congrats on the new ride though!

Good looking ride.
Had a 99 model like that it was great, till it ended up looking like a burrito.

Nice looking truck, doesn't look like the Texas winters beat them up to bad.
