bronco 2

my brother inlaw just bought an old beater bronco 2 i believe 86 model. 2wd but it has a transfer case on it, i was wondering did they come like this or was there a tranny swap with a 4wd tranny?

Surely its a 4wd tranny swap. Someone probably needed a tranny and conveniently found a 4wd one.

i've never seen a 2wd bronco 2 before but i'd take a guess ur all on the right track. i couldn't see a manufacturer doing that for any reason.

no tranny swap...... the bronco II 2wd came witha dummy t-case. the case is empty and serves no perpose. best thing about them is it makes it easy to do a 4x4 swap. just find a front axle set up, drive shaft, and 4x4 t-case and your pretty much set.

by the way if your bro-inlaw needs help with the b2 tell him to hit up www.broncoII.org good source for the RBV (ranger base vehicle) family. they may not be the best offroad vehicle but they can be built faily cheap and wheel hard.

naw logan didnt sell the bronco, mines a full size, his is a mini bronc
