07 f250 with 170k needs o2 sensors and maybe a cat, aftermarket?
I'm sure the cat is not gonna last much longer. Truck suddenly is throwing all kinds of o2 related codes. Recently had all new plugs and coils put in so i know its not that.
I see on ebay, they have full magnaflow or other brand twin cats and y pipe into that afterburner looking can, "which i thought was a cat too" under the truck.
Would it be better just to cut the stock cats out, have two 2.5" magnaflow units welded back in place, replace the o2s and remove that afterburner part to bring a y pipe into the regular pipe in the exhuast?
To reduce cost, I'd assume the left bank cat could be removed, piped into the other pipe, and then install one cat to handle both left and right bank instead? Would have an issue because i'd have to move the rear o2 from that left bank right next to the o2 on the passenger side then ?
Anyone ever do this to eliminate that big double wide box style flange going into the afterburner part?
