It might not be the SVT Lightning but Ford
today unveiled a new ‘sport truck’ version of it’s best-selling F-150.
Powered exclusively by the brand’s new EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine, the short wheelbase, regular cab ‘Tremor’ is designed for the street and comes paired with the FX Appearance Package and an aggressive 4.10 rear axle. That rear-end is the shortest final drive ratio of any EcoBoost F-150, and is designed to help make use of the truck’s potent amounts of torque for the best acceleration.
That FX package includes flat-black accents, 20-inch flat-black wheels, a custom graphics package and black badges with red lettering.

Inside the Tremor gains black leather seating with Alcantara inserts, as well as with red piping brushed metal accent and red stitching on the steering wheel.
“The new Tremor gives F-150 customers yet another option to drive a highly capable, distinctive performance truck with features typically found only in the aftermarket,” said Brian Bell, F-150 marketing manager. “Plus, the Built Ford Tough EcoBoost engine is available for the first time in a short-wheelbase F-150.”
That EcoBoost engine delivers 365 hp at 5000 rpm and 420 lb-ft of torque at just 2500 rpm, with 90 percent of that torque available from just 1700 rpm.
Available in both 2WD and 4WD, an electronic locking rear differential comes standard.
The F-150 Tremor will go on sale this Fall with pricing announced close to its release date.
