Gasser Tuner

I can get one of these for 200. Is it even worth trying on an NA gasser? I would hope for better shifting and some more timing at the most.

Thoughts?

Firmer shifts for sure, but not much more power over stock

Gasser Tuner

Dunno about that specific one but what year, model and engine are you looking to tune? Won't be diesel like gains but I can tell you what you could expect power wise to get with a SCT tuner

Can diesel like gains come from tuning an ecoboost? Got one in my sig

You can get a decent amount of gains out of the Ecoboost. Enough to run 13's.

Stay FAR away from Bully Dog! Their canned tunes are a joke and won't give any kind of power versus a custom tune. Pay the extra and get a custom tune that will help the transmission. I have 3 tunes, one for performance that helps with shifting, the towing tune and a 91 octane tune.

Hey guys. Thanks for the replies. Yea, just got my hands on an 03 5.4 work truck. All I want to solve for is shifting. I might just drop the pan and mod the VB for shifts. Dont care about the power really.... assumed that on ANY NA motor tuning cannot do too much. I mean, all there is will be injector cycles and timing. So.

Thanks! So Bully dog stuff SUCKS for our trucks I get that. But will it be ok just to adjust my shifting?

Gasser Tuner

Bully is known for being super harsh on transmission so I would avoid that one. A SCT will give you 22 rwhp and 20 torque and remap the shift points
