300 whines

i rebuilt the 300 in my sisters F-150 last summer. ever since it's been whineing and we dont have any idea why. when we first fired it all was good. then it started leaking tranny fluid so we shut it down. restarted and it started whineing. sound's like it has a super charger . really sound's almost like a P.S. pump. but i took all the belts off ran it for a few second's and it still whined. power is awesome!! bored 30 over and everythin is new. crank turned 10 under on the mains and rod journals. head rebuilt. blocked cleaned and bored. the only thing not done was the carb. so any how does any one have any ideas?

does it sound like it could be the front pump in the trans maybe, or the converter??? can you pinpoint where the noise is coming from at all??

well marc, it sounds like its from the P.S. pump area. could it be the cam gears that were put in? thier in that area. the machine shop had to press both of them on and i really dont remember what they look like. i know some of the gear drives for V8's will whine but that dont explain it not doing it then always doing it. oil pressure is pretty darn good too btw. this aint a huge problem. we put a few thousand miles on it since its been built and no problems. it just get's annoying some times.
