dang what happen???

I own a 93 Lincoln Town Car. My ex is buying it from me, she was driving it home the other night on 169 and boom, just died. lights come on everything. you can turn key on, and dash lights come on, but, once you go past that everything goes out. It looses all power before it hits starter. Any ideas?

How many miles?
the 4.6s have timing belts that need to be replaced every so often.

doubtful if it's a battery if the veh died while driving... probably alt, fuel, timing, etc... but not a battery issue.

112k, but don't think timing belt would be something that would make the dash, over head lights, all power just die when turning on the key. I am really hoping it isn't the igition switch, I just really don't wanna replace that thing. and good heavens no, she is NOT getting my 01 PSD 4 door 4x4 either! I might of been born in the morning, but it wasn't THIS morning.

Good idea!!!! I'm gonna have to drag it home anyway, it's at TCC in their parking lot, I may just drag it buy there..... If I have to rent a dolly, might as well make use of it, cause I will have it for 24 hours.

Thanks, hadn't even thought about that.
