My first thought would be to put a powerstroke in it. Other than that, what kind of things are you looking for. Suspension? Tires? Looks?

Exactly my first thoughts I would do just like a diesel and start with an intake setup and straight pipes! I had a 05 5.4. I think edge also makes tuners for the 5.4. Is urs the 04 S.D. 5.4 or the F150 5.4? Cause the S.D. Didn't get the 300hp 5.4 till 05 i think.

Well first of all it's not mine its a buddies. Do you guys have any recommendations on an intake and exhaust? I just figured that there might be one that stands out for gassers just like there are ones that are better for the powerstrokes. He already has the wheels and tires it is a pretty sweet ride, he just wants something to make it haul *** and sound deep and loud.

I can get you a custom SCT for it. Is it an F-150? Edge makes an Edge Evolution for the F-150 that works great.

Go to magnaflow and get him some 3in duals and glasspack mufflers with no kitty, K&N filter (good on naturally aspirated trucks), and a edge or SCT programmer like Pat said and he'll be the hog of the road.

Twin screw blower with everything you need to so it can hold the power.

That'll be expensive though, my Father has an Edge Evo on a completely stock 05 F150 and he likes it. I've messed with a few times, it's pretty neat and has netted him better fuel mileage in the city vs. stock.

If you want sound, but your power levels wouldn't really require it.. long tubes and high flow cats will sound pretty good. Muffler of your choice.

For the F-150 its a hard choice between the Edge Evolution and a Custom SCT. The differance in power would be slim since there isnt a ton of power to be gained with just a tune on a gasser. The Evolution will give him 35hp and 50fpt. Not bad at all, and greatly better than any other (non-custom) shelf tuner. He may see 3 or 4 more ponies from a custom. The Edge Evolution has many features, and it mounts to your dash in a custom pod and works great as gauges.

Check it out.
Discount Power Parts

Since it came out almost two years ago we have sold over a thousand of these with great review.

If he wants to talk more about it feel free to call the shop. 866-547-3517

thx
