Radio not connecting

Okay so on my 351 f350 I uninstalled my classic radio and put in a new one a few weeks later something killed my battery wiring and such so I brought it into a friends shop and he rewired it
Then when I got in my truck an the radio didn't work I was like hmm redid all the radio wires and it still didn't work then found that a frayed wire hit the radio and so we guessed that killed the battery

I just bought a new radio and rewired it now it won't even connect anyone know what could've happened?
