valve bodies (auto)

HI,I picked up 96 ford explorer that has a problem shifting and as i was
doing a search on the trany,i came across posts that said and showed that
the valve body gasket can blow out the side of the gasket causing a loss
in pressure and you can get a bonded gasket from FORD to replace it,is
there a problem like this with our 95 f-450 S/D auto trany.
In the posts they also suggested that you replace the booster valve while
you have pan off,thanks
