General AC and Blower questions

My finace has a 2000 F150 w/the 5.4 Triton. Two things about the AC.

First, her blower functions properly most of the time. When she is coming to a stop, usually a harder stop, and with the blower on max/high, you feel the blower dip down in speed for just an, then it comes right back up. What could that be?

The other thing is her AC compressor. Engages/disengages properly, but when the compressor is engaged, it rattles. Rattles like the clutches are semi engaged and slapping each other as they spin.
It cools fine as long as you have air running over the radiator. But that's either a coolant or the compressor issue I'm talking about. So I just need to know if I can pull it apart and fix it or what?

Blower might be on it's last legs, have you checked the battery connections? Almost sounds like one of the wires is loose. Do the lights dim as well? On the compressor, I have no clue other than to have an ac shop check it out.

I haven't been in it at night to see if they dim.
The negative post does need cleaning.
