5.4 3v coolant
Hello everybody. I was sitting at work planning my coolant flush on my 2006 Expedition which BTW uses the ford gold coolant. My biggest question is would it be worth/ safe to use the restore left over from my 6.0 coolant flush? Can I switch to a non-silicate coolant? I've searched high and low but we 6.0 owners seem to be the only people swapping the ford gold for other options. Thank you all for your help.

It's just cause the oil cooler isn't the best design on a 6.0.
But I don't see why you couldn't use ELC on anything else. |

I was thinking the same thing, gave me an eerie feeling seeing the sand in the bucket. Also don't want to see the rest of the restore go to waste. Then again its only 1/4 gallon expedition cooling system is about 21 quarts.
