07 F250 with 168k, needs new plugs & coils ?

How long do the stock plugs/coils last? One of our 03 F150s had a coil go bad at 113k... thats on stock plugs and coils otherwise though.

We already bought new plugs and coils for it but then 9 out of 10 guys say dont mess with them unless you need to change them... but we're getting p0300 codes, random misfires up above 4000 rpms sometimes and seems sluggish with any rpms over 3000.. could it be one coil or if its random its just the plugs and not the coils?

Best thing to do is change them about every 75k, otherwise they have a chance of siezing up in the head and breaking off. Unless you're getting a code for a bad COP, I wouldn't replace them just to replace them. Go ahead and replace the boots on the COP's though while you're in there.

from my experience, its amazing they last to 100k. if one is bad, a few months from now another one will be. i replace 2-3 coils on my cousins expedition ever 6-8 months cause hes too cheap to buy them all at once. motorcraft coils are the same price as the autozone coils, so thats a no brainer.
